End of summer BBQ in aid of MS
After the success of the sponsored walk on Cavehill earlier this year, it was decided to hold a client event to raise funds on behalf of our nominated charity of the year, MS NI. A summer BBQ seemed the perfect opportunity to network with clients, socialise with friends and, most importantly, raise more funds for MS NI.
A tremendous amount of planning went into the event and it was originally intended the event would take place at the Hilden Brewery on 21 August. However, due to the tragic event that occurred at the Brewery just the week before our planned BBQ, the Ulster Museum was very generous in allowing us use of the Museum Café at no cost.
It turned out to be a terrific location on a beautiful warm evening providing a great opportunity for everyone to mingle and chat. Yellow Door also stepped in and provided the catering which was delicious. A prize draw at the end of the night, which was very generously sponsored by Castle Leslie and Ox Restaurant, proved to be a wonderful success and, when all the funds were totalled, MS NI will receive over £8000.00. We expect the Napier & Sons “goodie bag” (specially made for the evening) will be seen all over town! We would like to say a special thanks to Tom Mallon from MS NI who attended, mingled with our guests, took photographs and provided a very informative and heart-warming talk on the effects of MS and the work the Society is undertaking in Northern Ireland.
On a separate note, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Scullion family of Hilden Brewery. Our thoughts are with the family at this very sad and difficult time.
